PREPARING FOR YOUR SESSION

GETTING YOURSELF READY

In order to receive the most out of a session, clients are encouraged to minimize alcohol intake the day before a session. It is also very important to get a good night's rest, in order to feel refreshed as possible when arriving for a session.

It is strongly recommend that clients meditate, relax or even do a light exercise before coming through for a session, whichever is most appropriate to help become centred.

Caffeine or any stimulant “energy” drinks should definitely be minimized before a session and it is also very important to not take any calming medication as this may interfere with your session outcomes.

WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU?

Bring a list of questions you want to have addressed during your session.
Bring a memory stick - I will be giving you a recording of your session afterward.

There is no list of questions that is too small or too big. It is recommended that the questions are prioritized though so that the important questions can be addressed early on in the session. The questions should be on paper in a neatly hand-written or typed format.

SAMPLE QUESTIONS:

  • What is my life purpose?
  • When will I meet my soulmate/twin flame?
  • Have I had a past life with my child, husband, wife, friend, parent, etc.?
  • I want to move to a new location, where is the best place for me to live?
  • I was born with a heart defect. Why? Is it karmic?
  • Why have I always had a horrible relationship with my father, mother, sister, etc?
  • Why do I have an addiction to gambling, drugs, alcohol, food, etc.?
  • What's stopping me from losing the weight I want to lose?
  • What is the best job for me?
  • Do I have anything that's blocking my abundance?
  • I've always loved to write, but I feel stuck. What's stopping me right now?
  • Why have I always felt different from those around me?
  • I'm retired and am wondering if my purpose in life has changed?
  • How can I have a better relationship with my kids, wife, husband, siblings etc.?
  • I had a weird dream/experience and would like some clarity around it.
  • Why can't I identify with being a man, woman, etc.?
  • What is the best diet for me?

HERE ARE SOME TRUTHS/MISCONCEPTIONS ABOUT HYPNOSIS;

Hypnosis is simply a brainwave state. (Theta or Alpha)

It basically feels like deep relaxation. There is no "feeling" of being hypnotized, other than being relaxed and open enough that you can access other realms of consciousness.

Hypnosis is not amnesia.

People who don't remember what happened under hypnosis, were programmed to not remember. Stage hypnotists give suggestions (program) the individual to forget, or not be aware of what they're doing, so they can get them to step out of their comfort zone and do funny things.

Healing hypnotists don't program for that because we want you aware of what's happening, and to remember it. It does fade like a dream for most people but that's why I will give you a recording of the session.

Hypnosis can be blocked.

There are several "blockers" which may result in subjects not able to get into and maintaining the theta brainwave state. Some of these blockers include:

  • Pharmaceuticals and various substances, like caffeine, alcohol etc. can disrupt the brain functions.
  • Emotional blocks (fear, anger)
  • Physical blocks (like intense pain, discomfort),
  • Mental blocks (like not being able to give up control)
  • Spiritual blocks (contrasting belief systems).
  • Mistrust - someone who does not want to be hypnotized, cannot be. The person must always be in complete agreement to the process from beginning to end, so if that level of trust for the practitioner is not there, mistrust will be a block.

Most of these blocks can be worked with depending however it can take time and practice to remove the blocks.

Can I be hypnotized?

A good "test" for being able to be hypnotized is meditation. If you can meditate (hold focus, or calm the mind) then being hypnotized should come easy.
